Packaging raw, cooked or cured meats.
PFM has dedicated cutting and wrapping lines to the meat
packaging sector, but is capable of proposing custom-designed,
innovative solutions, including automatic lines. The meat
packaging sector is dealt with through Flow Wrap packaging, even
with the MAP application. Fresh meats, sausages (even of
considerable size), fresh and processed sliced meats and many
other products, whether fresh or frozen, in individual or multiple
packages, may be packaged.
With the MAP application, flow wrap allows:
- Prolonged product life.
- Unaltered freshness and colour of the meat.
- Avoiding the problem of product weight shrinkage.
- The production of aesthetically perfect and pleasing
packages in perfect harmony with the product�s hygienic
requirements.
- Packaging of the product in tubs.
For oversized products (i.e. mortadellas, hams, etc.)
particular lines of applications have been designed that make it
possible to customise the shape and size of the package and
produce vacuum packages.
The LVA application permits rapid and automatic format changes.
The use of special packaging materials allows the user to solve
the problem of keeping the colour and weight of the product
unaltered, without affecting costs.
Over the last year, PFM has dedicated a great deal of effort to
the "Open & Reclose" packaging system, and has also applied
it to the meat packaging sector. Meat packaged with the "Open &
Reclose" system maintains the quality, freshness and life of
the product unaltered during the various phases of utilisation of
the product.
Additionally, the front and rear of the package may be printed and
customised by the client. With "Open & Reclose" packages,
service to the final consumer perfectly weds the marketing and
communications requirements of foodstuffs manufacturers.
